A Colorado State Patrol trooper suffered serious injuries when he jumped off the side of a bridge to avoid being struck by a suspected drunk driver over the weekend. And the scary moment was caught on video.
The incident took place about 3:45 a.m local time on Saturday on Interstate 270 in Adams County.
Dash camera video obtained by USA TODAY shows Trooper Kevin Bagley avoid a collision from the speeding car by leaping over the bridge which led to a 30-foot fall to a river below.
Troopers could not immediately be reached by USA TODAY on Wednesday morning.

Troopers told News Channel 8 they initially responded to the highway for a report of a property damage crash. While on scene, a Jeep moving at a high speed struck the side of a parked, unoccupied police cruiser.
About 45 minutes later, an unrelated vehicle, also speeding, ran over “multiple traffic cones in the right lane that were positioned to warn oncoming traffic,” and struck a second unoccupied police vehicle called to assist, the outlet reported.
