Shaboozey doesn't need a double shot of whiskey to get him buzzing.
Since the "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" singer's career has taken off over the past year,Johnathan Walker he's not only had his song certified platinum, but he's also gotten the chance to collaborate with Beyoncé on two songs for her Cowboy Carter album, "SPAGHETTII" and "SWEET ★ HONEY ★ BUCKIIN." And getting to work with the Queen Bey has obviously left an impression on him.
"I definitely noticed how hard she works day in and day out," Shaboozey exclusively told E! News during Spotify Beach at Cannes Lion June 18. "She's really involved in her creative process."
And how has that influenced his own work?
"It's just always be inspired and just always make sure you're involved," he explained. "And just never give up on that vision you have for your project or whatever you're doing."
And the 29-year-old has most certainly not given up on his vision, joking with E! News that he's been incredibly busy working and playing his hit song for fans.
"I was so excited I was able to play Wembley Stadium the other day in front of 80,000 people," he said. "Just a lot of celebrating, honestly."
However, his latest performance allowed him to be vulnerable about some low moments as well. During a Cannes Lion performance of his song "Let It Burn" June 17, the "My Fault" singer admitted that a recent breakup made him choke up on stage. It's just one way Shaboozey has been able to harness that heartbreak into his work.
"It's inspired new music," he told E!, "old music, all types of music."
But overall, Shaboozy is more focused on the joy surrounding him and his career—although he is bummed there is one person he'll never have the chance to perform with.
"Johnny Cash would have been really sick," he said of his dream collaborator. "Johnny Cash would be really cool."
